I heard something today that made me realize that “spark” is more just energy and passion. You do not mention, and you indicate zero contrition at all, sir, that on the morning of February 28th, 2026, one of the illegal American attacks on Iran KILLED 156 people in an ELEMENTARY school in Minab. 73 were boys. 47 were girls. 1 was a six-month old fetus. 26 were women teachers. 7 were parents: four men, two women. I was a school bus driver. 1 was a pharmacy technician. These people HAD names. Now they're... Collateral damage. Statistics. Forgotten.
You focus on money, on the attacks on American's wallets, Mr Jackson. Had the reverse occurred, had an American elementary school been struck by an Iranian missile, you would have been outraged. You'd have written extensively to condemn the carnage. But. It was an illegal American attack in a foreign land. You glossed over the individual school killings by writing the anodyne "Thousands were killed across the region". Perhaps you covered the matter previously. (Perhaps).
I do not regret being a subscriber to your substack. You're a good writer. You didn't vote trump back into office. You have no control over your governments. Even so. After this posting, I will read your output with much, much less consideration, sir. Some incidents bear repeating. And a show of remorse from an American to demonstrate compassion.
Mitch Jackson is an amazing person. Intelligent, goodhearted, kind. I don't think he meant to overlook all of the poor Iranian citizens, school girls, so many innocent people hurt or killed in Trumps unprovoked and IMHO, unnecessary war. I think he was just trying to educated Americans on what Trump is doing. I would not think for one minute that Mitch doesn't care for the innocent Iranian civilians, stuck between their corrupt government and Trumps corrupt, illegal war. Mitch cares a great deal about everyone, he's just trying to write the truth about the things Trump constantly does, all corrupt, illegal, disobey or ignores Congress, ignores SCOTUS, and our Constitution. Mitch digs deep and cites the proof, receipts, of everything this administration does that is wrong, corrupt, grifting off of our taxpayers money.
We need to block trump from starting any new projects…make him pay up on the fines yet unpaid…uncover the amount he and his family have made at the country’s expense, pay that back…restore the White House lawn to its previous condition…put an end to playing golf in FL he has courses closer…curtail using the rehabbed plane for “pleasure” trips as it’s bigger than required for jaunts in the US…temporarily dissolving ICE…we can’t afford it…when reparations have been made…review the progress made…but…NEVER allow him to make decisions on his own or with the current bootlickers…some counsel needs to help us to recover!!!

Well, Iran's toll idea would be a source for paying reparations. A two dollar fee per barrel would average out to approximately a three per cent fee per barrel, yielding roughly fifteen billion dollars. Under that scheme, it would take twenty years, adjusting for inflation, for the estimated three hundred billion dollars in reconstruxion costs to be paid. ✍🏽
What would likely be the case, is the proposed two dollar fee for five years plus the United States paying out two hundred billion dollars over the next two-to-five (i.e., as a pace to avoid inflating reconstruxion costs). This calculation is back-of-the-envelope, of course. Parameters (e.g., the actual reconstruction bill) would have to be clarified and established. 🫱🏻🫲🏽
Frankly, I could not support the J.C.P.O.A. owing to limited insight into any side agreements negotiated in secret and skepticism toward elements like snap-back sanxions. Nevertheless, I firmly opposed Trump tearing up the accord. Once in, we ahould have stayed in, though I would preferred a vote, likely impossible, by the Senate on the agreement as a treaty.⚖️
