Today the President of the United States banned CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House because he did not like their coverage. He put it in writing and promised more outlets are next. I have practiced law for four decades, and I am telling you without any hesitation whatsoever that this is retaliation for speech, the exact thing the First Amendment was written to stop.
No court found a single story false. A man with a grudge decided who gets to stand in the room and watch him work. That is not a legal standard. That is a casting call.
Presidents come and go. The First Amendment outlasts every one of them only if you refuse to let it be taken.
