The Republican’s South African leader and his orange lapdog have given them the audacity to let their masks fall away.. the masks of Christianity, compassion, love for your neighbor, of not judging others, of taking care of widows and orphans, the weak and the poor,.. all these masks have fallen away and we now see the real bigots and know their fear. . .they’re a bunch of scared small minded fools who will and have sold their souls to retain some semblance of relevance.

For instance, figures like Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham, who once harshly criticized Trump, became some of his most ardent defenders. This hypocrisy and opportunism were crucial in normalizing Trump's behaviour and agenda.
These enablers need to be held accountable and removed from public office. Their willingness to support Trump, despite recognizing his detrimental impact on democratic norms and institutions, makes them complicit in the potential erosion of American democracy. Their actions are particularly egregious because they often possess the knowledge and experience to understand the consequences of their support.
Ultimately, addressing the threat posed by Trump requires not only focusing on him but also on the broader network of enablers who have made his political resurgence possible. Voters and civil society must work to ensure that those who prioritize power over principle are not allowed to continue shaping the country's future.
