America’s house is on fire, and Donald Trump is holding the matches. Again.
We’ve seen this before. From failed casinos to a fraudulent university, Trump’s track record is a wreckage of lies, greed, and lawsuits. His second term as President is shaping up the same way: broken promises, economic chaos, billionaire handouts, and brazen corruption that spits in the face of everyday Americans. If we don’t course-correct now, starting with the 2026 midterms, our children and grandchildren will be left holding the bill.
Let’s break this down clearly and simply.
1. The Economy Is Sinking—And It’s No Accident
Trump promised to lower prices. What did we get instead? Higher grocery bills, higher gas prices, and collapsing small businesses.
His tariffs, essentially hidden taxes on working families, are squeezing consumers dry. Countries are retaliating, global trade is choking, and confidence in the U.S. economy is spiraling. Stocks are down. The GDP is shrinking. Main Street is struggling while Trump and his allies cash in. That’s not governance; it’s deliberate economic sabotage.
And while we’re out here tightening our belts, Trump’s billionaire cronies are fattening their portfolios. That’s not leadership. That’s theft dressed up in a red tie.
2. The Billionaires Are in Charge and You’re Getting Played
This administration isn’t run for the people. It’s run for the ultra-rich, by the ultra-rich.
Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Trump himself are all profiting from decisions made behind closed doors. Just look at the dozens of articles and examples I’ve shared here in my Uncensored Objection Substack since the beginning of February.
Trump’s tax policies hit the lower to middle class while handing billions to those who already have more than they can spend in a lifetime. They want to gut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, not because it helps the country, but because it pads their pockets.
They are rigging the game while telling you to be grateful for the crumbs.
3. The Corruption Is Off the Charts and In Plain View
Let’s call it what it is: corruption, plain and simple.
Trump officials are allegedly timing stock trades with tariff announcements. Musk is getting government contracts while slashing oversight. Trump’s buddies are paying half a million dollars just to buy access to the White House through an exclusive D.C. club for the wealthy. And Justice Clarence Thomas? He’s accepting millions in secret gifts and travel perks without a whisper of accountability.
They’re not even pretending to hide it anymore. They believe the rules don’t apply to them—and under Trump, they’re right.
What We Can and Must Do to Fix This Mess
This isn’t just about calling out the rot. It’s about removing it.
We need to:
- Repeal Trump’s tariff taxes and bring relief to American families.
- Reclaim Congressional power over trade so the presidency doesn’t get to unilaterally tank our economy.
- Ban insider trading by public officials.
- Close loopholes that allow billionaires to serve in government without divesting from their businesses.
- Restore caps on drug prices and expand them.
- End tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy.
- Launch real investigations into price gouging and prosecute those who profit from economic pain.
Yes, Republicans will block all of this. Trump will veto reform. But that’s the entire reason you see me writing about this. Democrats need to take back the majority in 2026 and with the help of 90M eligible voters who didn’t vote in 2024, keep building toward a White House that finally works for the rest of us in 2028.
Final Thought: Stay Focused, Stay Loud
Let’s not overcomplicate what’s obvious.
Trump is failing—spectacularly. And it’s not just about politics. It’s about our paychecks, our futures, our democracy. He and his billionaire buddies are raiding the country for personal gain, and we’re footing the bill.
This is the moment to step up. Speak truth. Vote smart. We don’t need fancy slogans, we need moral clarity and economic sanity. And we need to start now.
We’ve cleaned up after Trump once before. We can do it again. But only if we show up loud, clear, and ready to fight for the country we know we deserve.
