Trump Says He Settled Six Wars. He Didn’t.
Trump brags he “settled 6 wars.”
Here’s the truth:
❌ Israel–Iran: still hostile
❌ Congo–Rwanda: still fighting
❌ Cambodia–Thailand: ASEAN stopped it
❌ India–Pakistan: India says Trump wasn’t involved
❌ Serbia–Kosovo: EU & NATO did the work
❌ Egypt–Ethiopia: unresolved
None are settled.
Each of the conflicts he listed is either unresolved, ongoing, or only temporarily quiet, and his role in them has been exaggerated to the point of fiction.
Israel and Iran remain locked in a cycle of hostility. Israel continues striking Iranian-linked positions in Syria, and Iran continues pressing its nuclear ambitions. The region is one spark away from escalation. Trump’s claim of a settled war is a story with no foundation. It is a pause at best, and Israel and Iran did not credit him with the outcome.
Current status: There is no permanent peace deal; only a temporary de-escalation.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda are still suffering through violence tied to the M23 rebel group. Families are being displaced, lives are being lost, and the African Union is doing the heavy work to mediate. Trump was not the mediator. His words are far removed from the daily terror that people in the region continue to endure.
Current status: Conflict persists, and U.S. involvement was minimal.
Cambodia and Thailand have lived with periodic flareups along their border. ASEAN diplomats helped cool tempers earlier this year, and the situation remains tense. No treaty has been signed, no permanent peace secured. Trump inserting himself into that story is like arriving at the end of a meeting you never attended and demanding the credit.
Current status: Conflict has calmed down with no evidence Trump played a decisive role.
India and Pakistan reached a ceasefire agreement through direct talks. India has publicly stated the United States played no role. Skirmishes still threaten the border, and the nuclear danger remains. Trump’s declaration here is worse than exaggeration. It is a complete misrepresentation of history.
Current status: Both India and Pakistan’s say Trump had nothing to do with the ceasefire.
Serbia and Kosovo have seen EU and NATO pressure reduce violence, but their disputes over recognition and authority are far from resolved. Negotiations are grinding, and local leaders are the ones taking risks. Trump had no decisive role, yet he adds this conflict to his tally as if peace broke out on his command.
Current status: De-escalation driven by actions of EU and NATO.
Egypt and Ethiopia are still locked in a standoff over the Nile River and the massive Ethiopian dam project. Negotiations have dragged on without final agreement. The African Union remains in the driver’s seat, and no party has declared the conflict resolved. Trump’s claim of settling this dispute is a claim without substance.
Current status: The conflict is unresolved.
Every American needs to understand what is happening here. Trump is selling victories that do not exist. He is turning temporary lulls into permanent peace in the story he tells. He is counting on people repeating his words without questioning them. This is not foreign policy. It is a salesman’s trick.
You are smarter than that. Do not believe what Trump says simply because he says it. Always do your own due diligence. Question every headline, read beyond the soundbite, and look at what the people actually involved are saying. That is how you protect yourself, your family, and your democracy from lies dressed up as achievements.
