His locus is so external that the deep space probes haven’t encountered it yet.
If the cabal surrounding him unifies and tells him to do something, and they’ll be pleased, he wastes no time in doing it, just for the endorphin rush. He doesn’t need the world to love him, just the people who he comes in contact with. If he can’t see them, they must be both irrelevant and beneath contempt. It’s why he’s so quick to disown anyone who deigns to disagree with him, and why he so readily accepts them back into the fold if they make the tiniest of positive overtures.
