To Everyone Who is Refusing to Stay Silent: Thank You

It’s been just under four months since I launched Uncensored Objection. What started as a space to speak plainly about the political chaos we’re living through has become something more powerful than I ever expected.

I set out to expose the gaslighting, misinformation, and authoritarian creep coming from Donald Trump, his administration, and the enablers who keep trying to normalize this slow-motion wrecking of American democracy. What I didn’t expect, at least not to this degree, was the sheer force of the community here, and on the social platforms, that’s shown up to read, share, and push back with me.

To say I’m proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. I’m blown away by the volume, but more importantly, by the energy. More than 1,600 of you have subscribed, with over 200,000 views and thousands of interactions since February. That’s not just momentum, that’s a movement. A movement rooted in facts, fueled by frustration, and carried forward by the shared belief that democracy is worth fighting for.

And let’s be clear: we are in a fight.

Each day, this administration does something that would have once been considered disqualifying for a public official. But the bar has been lowered so far it’s practically underground. From blatant conflicts of interest and foreign entanglements to attacks on the judiciary, the press, and even the legitimacy of our elections, this is not politics as usual. This is a coordinated erosion of the guardrails that keep our republic intact.

Some people gave Donald Trump the mic. That was the mistake. But we’ve learned. We’ve seen the consequences. And we’re no longer sitting back quietly hoping it gets better.

I’ve never believed that democracy is a spectator sport, but these last few months have shown me just how many of you are ready to suit up. Some of you are calling your representatives every day. Some are organizing or attending local protests and city council meetings. Others are using their voices on social media, writing letters to the editor, sharing these articles, and helping spread the truth. And some of you are doing all of this while working, raising kids, caring for elderly parents, and juggling the never-ending demands of real life.

That’s what courage looks like.

And that’s what gives me hope.

We’ve also seen the courts begin to hold the line. Some judges are doing what Congress has failed to: protect the Constitution from abuse. But they can’t do it alone. The legal system isn’t built to be our sole defense against tyranny. It’s up to us, the people, to keep pressure on every branch of government and hold elected officials accountable for the chaos they’re enabling.

I know some of you are tired. Honestly, I am too. It’s exhausting to live in a country where you have to fact-check your president more than your kid’s internet history. It’s draining to feel like decency, truth, and justice are always playing defense. But here’s the thing: we’re still here. We’re still fighting. And we’re still growing.

The 2026 midterms are our next major line in the sand. If we want to stop the bleeding, we must take back the House and Senate. If we want to stop this president from doing even more damage to our rights, our institutions, and our reputation in the world, we need to elect leaders who still believe in the Constitution. Trump may hold the title of president, but with enough of us showing up in 2026, we can make him politically powerless. And come 2028, we take back the White House, not just to reverse the damage, but to show the world that we’re better than this.

I’m going to keep doing my part. I’ll keep writing, speaking out, litigating when needed, and showing up. Because silence, at this point, is complicity. But I can’t do it alone. I never could. The truth is, none of us can fix this alone. But together? That’s where the real strength is.

So I’m asking you to keep going. Speak up even when it’s uncomfortable. Challenge disinformation when you see it. Share credible information. Support candidates who still believe in democracy. And don’t just do what feels easy, do what feels necessary.

You already have what it takes. That quiet fire you feel in your gut when something doesn’t sit right? That’s not just frustration. That’s your conscience telling you this country is still worth fighting for. And that voice—your voice—matters.

We’ve made mistakes. We know that. But we’ve also learned. And now we move forward, louder, smarter, and more united than before. Because we is greater than me. And this community is living proof that democracy may be under siege, but it is far from defeated.

Keep going. We’ve got work to do.
