Would be interested to hear your thoughts. Wes Moore comes to mind but he just had to misrepresent his service record. Was it a genuine "paperwork issue" regarding the bronze star or was it a retroactive attempt to cover tracks? I am just tired of the misrepresentation on both sides of the aisle. If I hear back from him, I will share response. Here is what I sent to Wes Moore - Your national profile is rising and I happen to be an early stage supporter. However, I am concerned about the apparent misrepresentation of a portion of your service record, specifically, your claim to be a recipient of the bronze star when you clearly were not. Your former commander did resubmit the request and the bronze star was ultimately awarded. Was this truly a paperwork issue or a retroactive attempt to cover tracks? This an an issue the GOP will get great mileage on. I would appreciate a thorough, candid and honest reply from you. Thank you.
P.S. If you decide to move forward with a 2028 candidacy, I may be interested in being part of your team in Tennessee. Either way, all the best to you.
Many I think are just all around us doing the little things every day that may never make a headline or win an award. The people that work the food banks as their budgets have been cut back. The press who strive to tell the truth in war zones and put their lives in danger every day. The firefighters in our home towns, the doctors and nurses who take care of us…they are the champions imho. As far as leadership and champions on a global stage…to Mitch’s point…thinking. 🧐
Don't listen to brazen liars (the list is a long one). Do not bend to pressure. Just say no. The inaction, or in some cases the actions, of business leaders is particularly bothersome. They know who they are. Getting in bed with the Trump administration is not a wise long term business decision. Trump feels his weakness and has resorted to his typical childish behavior. American business needs to get off their hands and see the bigger picture. P & L statements, while important, should not be the foundational basis to curry favor with a a dictator. Pure profit or succumbing to extortion/shakedowns should not form a corporation's identity, no matter the valuation.
