Stunning. While I have researched Atlanta news, and kept up with national coverage changes, it becomes earth shattering to see how quickly the news landscape has shifted. It is truly overwhelming and frightening. I removed cable TV so I'm not giving them money, at least. I trust nothing that comes from news, but some online articles must be shared. I'm only on LinkedIn bc it's supposedly a professional platform, and lately I've only been watching C-Span for news, or PBS. Am I doing ok?? Any suggestions on what to watch that doesn't support these rich monopolizing oligarchs????
Gees.... you just showed me that I can't trust any "news" anymore. For years now, I've been watching CBS Mornings w Gayle King, Nate Burleson, and Tony Dicouple. Mostly bc I like their personality. But lately, it's been making me sick to watch bc it's all fluff news, no real important content. I don't give a shit what some movie star wore to the Emmy's, Grammy's, etc......where are stories about Ukraine, Gaza, corrupt criminals that should be punished, corporate media scandals bought by billionaires, controlling the information we get to see. Tired of it all
Boycott RightWingMedia! When you see one of their stations on the screen at your Barber Shop, HairStyling Shop, Pet Grooming Shop, Gym, Spa, Nail Salon, School, etc. - GO DIRECTLY to the Manager or Principle and complain about the channel selection. Have the selection SWITCHED to a NON-OFFENSIVE outlet. That is what I do, more often than not with good results:
- "You're the customer, so Ok."
- "We didn't realize it was on Fox ('SPEWS'). Here's CNN. Better?"
What is EVIDENT is that if WE critical thinkers do not complain about MEDIA SEWAGE disrupting conversation and thought processes IN OUR OWN SOCIAL ENVIRONMENTS, the 'CREEP' factor will take over, with SEWAGE modulating impressionable minds.
PROACTIVELY BOYCOTT NOW is a conscientious stand to take.
