Byron Donalds went on camera and handed the Trump administration an A on the economy. I’ve been trying cases for 40 years, and that statement would not survive five minutes of my cross examination in front of a judge and jury.
The Supreme Court already ruled the tariffs illegal. The war with Iran choked the Strait of Hormuz and spiked diesel, and diesel moves the bread to your store. Before any of it, inflation had fallen to 2.9 percent, the economy had added 15.4 million jobs, gas sat at $3.11 the week Trump took the oath, and The Economist put America on its cover as the envy of the world. The fact of the matter is that the Trump administration inherited an economy that was leading the planet, poured gasoline on it, and lit it on fire.
You already know that, because you filled up your gas tank and bought groceries this week.
Watch me take his grade apart on the record, then check it against your own receipts. When the report card and the receipts disagree, the receipts win.
