The Real Treason Is the Lie: Trump and Gabbard’s Attack on Obama Is a Sick Distraction
Let’s be clear about what’s happening. Donald Trump and Tulsi Gabbard are standing in front of the American people accusing former President Barack Obama of treason. Treason. That word doesn’t just carry legal weight. It’s an emotional, psychological, and cultural bomb thrown into the center of a fragile democracy. And they know it.
I’m not giving airtime to their misinformation campaign.
What I will show you is this clip of Trump—during his first term, before the Epstein coverup began.
Trump and Gabbard are trying to create chaos, stir division, and erase what every single American should be watching right now with eyes wide open. The Trump-Epstein coverup. The videos. The photos. The documents. The uncomfortable truth surfacing from years of silence and manipulation. Trump’s name is all over it and the public is starting to notice.
So what do they do? Manufacture outrage. Deflect. Spin a new narrative. And this time, the target is President Obama.
Gabbard stepped up to the mic, flanked by her new title and old ambition, and repeated a lie so reckless that it deserves to be disqualified from every serious conversation about national security. She accused the Obama administration of fabricating intelligence in 2016. She said there was a conspiracy. She said it was treason. That is a line no honest public servant crosses. Not unless they are trying to burn it all down from the inside. Hell, Vladimir Putin is probably smiling right now.
What Actually Happened
In 2016, every major intelligence agency in this country confirmed that Russia attacked our democracy. They hacked state systems. They spread propaganda online. They stole and leaked sensitive data. They wanted Trump to win. This was not a partisan whisper campaign. It was a coordinated assault on the American electoral process, and it was confirmed by every credible authority from the CIA to the FBI to the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee.
The first report was classified because it included sensitive intelligence. The second was public so every citizen could see the truth for themselves. Same conclusion. Different format. Russia interfered in our election. Russia favored Trump. Russia tried to damage faith in our democracy. That is the truth. Period. I shared a few more details here.
Now it’s 2025 and the man who benefited from that interference is the president again. The one with 34 felony convictions who spends more time golfing and threatening the press than doing anything to unite the country. The one who refuses to acknowledge basic facts and instead sends out his talking heads to scream treason at people who did the right thing when it mattered.
Gabbard is parroting a Kremlin-fueled fantasy that makes our nation weaker. She is undermining the institutions tasked with keeping us safe. She is not protecting America. She is dragging us further into the pit Trump is digging beneath the Constitution.
This is a game to them. They are not trying to protect you. They are trying to protect themselves. From consequences. From questions. From accountability. They are turning the spotlight away from the things that actually matter. Epstein’s documents. Trump’s financial scandals. The human rights abuses mounting under this administration. The illegal surveillance of journalists. The backroom deals with billionaires and foreign governments. The things they don’t want you to see are exactly what you need to be looking at.
They think if they repeat the lie often enough, you’ll forget the facts. They think if they smear Obama, they can bury the evidence. They think if they say treason enough times, it will drown out the sound of truth knocking at their door.
That’s not going to happen. Not on our watch.
President Obama’s response this week was measured. Firm. Presidential.
He said the allegations were absurd. He reminded us of the facts. He reminded us of the truth. And for that, Trump wants to put him on trial. Think about that. The man who incited a violent insurrection is calling the man who saved the economy in 2008 a traitor. The man who accepted millions from foreign entities through a crypto scam is accusing the man who ran the cleanest administration in modern history of a conspiracy.
This isn’t just offensive. It’s dangerous. It erodes the foundation of trust in government. It weakens our alliances. It invites interference from foreign adversaries. It tells every bad actor in the world that America is too distracted by its own lies to defend itself. That’s not strength. That’s surrender.
We cannot afford to fall for it. We cannot look away. We cannot let this kind of lie root itself into our national conversation. There is no treasonous conspiracy. There is only a calculated, coordinated effort to distract you from the truth that matters right now.
Trump is the one holding power. Gabbard is the one holding a badge. And the truth is the one being dragged into the dirt so they can cling to their fading grip on control.
This is our country. Not theirs. This is our truth. Not theirs. And it is up to us to call it out, every single time they try to rewrite it.
Because if we don’t, they’ll keep going. They’ll keep lying. They’ll keep distracting. And they’ll keep dismantling everything generations before us fought to build.
Enough is enough.

“You're right to ask. At some point, silence becomes complicity. I think that in this case, Obama spoke out because the accusation crossed a line. But the truth is, most former presidents cling to the outdated belief that staying silent preserves dignity and stability. In normal times, that restraint matters. These are not normal times. When a current president actively undermines democracy, pushes conspiracy theories, and plays footsie with authoritarianism, silence is not statesmanship. It’s surrender. Every former president still breathing has a platform and they need to start using it.”
