In Sweden, we have seen the extreme racist party, the Sweden Democrats, attract many voters. I have noticed that when I know a person who has chosen to become a Sweden Democrat, they have a sad story to tell. Like someone in the family got sick and didn’t get the right medical treatment. Or they have a kid who has been the victim of violence. Things like that. People get deeply hurt, they become bitter, they vote to protest. So, it’s similar to what you describe Mitch.
For the record: the Sweden Democrats are not really democrats. They don’t really appreciate Swedish values either.

It's been interesting and disappointing to see the "far right" movements pop up in strength over the last decade around the world.
The far right movement is another kind of pandemic and they get inspired by Trump.
This is very helpful, to ask what they want..
We have more in common that we think. It's how we get there that causes challenges.
