May I recommend "Lad: A Dog" by Alfred Payson Terhune. It was a favorite of Yankee soldiers during WWI, and is as well-written a dog book as you'll be apt to find. 😎✌️
I have a plan too: when the big beautiful day arrives ( for me it is the “ Breaking News: Donald J.Trump just died”). I have bought 24 big Smiley flags for front yard and car window. My clients ordered smiley flags too. It will be a day of full happiness all over the world for a couple of days. After Trump been gone the rest of the garbage will be flushed out. Nobody has even nearly as much media power as he has.

I think it will be like when Biden was president. We didn’t see him on TV every day we knew he was working. We would get press releases when need be and he brought us out of the worst pandemic the world has ever seen so he did his job and it was wonderful and yeah, we were bored and that was glorious!!
I admire your optimism and sincerely hope this is what happens. Personally I think if it happens, it will involve violence, illegality and corruption enacted by the despicable regime currently running the US.
