The one issue, for me, is rather large: it is a complete remake of the laws that will ensure another Trump-like president NEVER sits in the White House again!

From a statute that prohibits convicted felons from running for [or being elected into] political office, to term limits [for SCOTUS, too], to caps on how much money any ONE person can donate to a candidate's campaign fund, to parity healthcare for elected officials that mirrors the 99%, to taxation of capital gains [that weakens the tax protections the 1% hide behind, meaning they pay 'fair share' taxes on their wealth], healthcare reform, to no more security details after congressional/senate term limits have been reached, to TRUE equality for EVERY US Citizen [and parity for females that equals males], regardless of skin hue, gender, etc.

You know, the serious systemic flaws that created the poop show we are living in currently! As l said, it's a LARGE ISSUE.

Hi Mitch,

Not sure if I could give as great of a summary as Tracy Alexis did above.

Your article succinctly describes how important it is to vote and to strive for more Democratic seats in the House and Senate. It describes how many important things are decided by a functional government. Our whole lives, everything we do, depends on their decisions.

I'd have to say, equal Healthcare for everyone, eliminate middleman HMOs, pay hospitals directly for care, costs of tests and procedures should be the same no matter what State you live in. An xray, MRI, CT Scan, etc...should cost the same everywhere.....a little adjustment for States w a higher cost of living. Simplify the whole system. I think there would be less fraud and complicated payment system if hospitals got paid directly from the government. It may allow hospitals to have more money to hire more Dr's and nurses, keep rural hospitals open.....

Everyone pays a certain (low) % of annual salary into Healthcare, so poorer people pay less, richer people pay more, no loopholes.

Also,

Term limits on SCOTUS

Age limits on POTUS, no criminal candidates or president's.

Simplify voting, paper ballots, thick paper, fill-in w black circles, handcount, same ballot format in every State, get rid of machines for potential rigging, save ballots securely.

Eliminate Electoral College, everyone's vote should count equally no matter where you live, popular vote wins.

Free candidate and presidential debates on major networks for a few debates for each.

Eliminate Special interest groups and their funding, CAP donations to campaigns, no more billionaires contributing large sums of money.

I could go on. But we need to reform Healthcare and Voting badly.

Ok, my two cents.
