Stop Lying to Us. We Can Handle the Truth.
A Letter to President Trump and Secretary of Defense Hegseth:
This isn’t about the military. It’s not about the skilled pilots who executed their mission last Saturday night. They did their job.
This is about the two of you, the two men who didn’t do their jobs.
While the smoke was still settling in Iran, you both stepped in front of a microphone and declared, without hesitation, that the airstrikes “completely and totally obliterated Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities” and that “Iran’s nuclear ambitions have been obliterated.”
Big words. Big lies.
Because now we know what you didn’t tell us: the Defense Intelligence Agency says the core of Iran’s nuclear program survived.
Just today, Rafael Grossi, the head of the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog, flat out said it’s a stretch to claim Iran’s nuclear program was “wiped out.” His words? “Too much.” Why? Because not all of Iran’s sites were even hit.
And Iran isn’t exactly waving the white flag. In fact, they told Grossi they’re already taking “protective measures” to safeguard the enriched uranium they still have. Translation: the job isn’t done, and pretending otherwise is reckless.
And even after all this, you both throw tantrums whenever reporters ask the hard questions. You dodge accountability and twist it into some performative outrage, accusing the press of being ungrateful for not “thanking” the pilots.
Give me a break. No one’s attacking the military, we’re just asking you to tell the truth.
You’re gaslighting.
You’re not being straight with the American people.
You’re showing us by what you say and do that this isn’t about patriotism. It’s about propaganda.
Look, we know our pilots are brave. On the other hand, the two of you, not so much.
Instead of showing restraint, instead of saying, “We’re still waiting on the full assessment,” you sold America a fantasy. Not just spin, but deliberate, calculated fiction. Why? To control the headlines, to control all of us.
Sound familiar?
It should.
You’re the same guys who told us the 2020 election was stolen. The same guys who lied about COVID, about immigrants, Signalgate, and about anything that threatens your grip on power. And now you want us to believe the Iran mission was a slam dunk victory when even our own intelligence says otherwise.
Here’s the thing: most Americans want to believe in their leaders. But you can’t keep asking for our trust while feeding us falsehoods and gaslighting the public every time we question your narrative.
We’re not attacking our military. We’re holding you accountable.
And anyone conflating the two is doing it on purpose.
So stop pretending the criticism is un-American. What’s un-American is lying to the public for personal gain.
We can handle the truth. You just can’t seem to tell it.
America will see you at the midterms.
