Would rubber-soled shoes provide insulation from shock? What if the victim were to grab the perpetrato wearing leather boots and redirect the current back on him?

There’s a lot to unpack, but what does it say about ICE or any agency if they have to be warned not to put two pairs on at once!?

One wonders what the ramifications will be when the first or second recipient of the “shock gloves” goes into cardiac arrest.

These gloves are similar to cattle prods and Tasers, and that is how we should refer to them. Sadly, both are legal in much of the United States, though they shouldn't be, and ICE would be the last agency anybody should trust with them. I think they should be outlawed nationwide. Too bad our congress is currently dysfunctional and neutered by the Republican majority.

Where have we seen this glove before? Oh, right: it was used by a James Bond villain: https://youtu.be/FfHFJiUCn6M?t=276&is=8X8VeYx7oByfOppH

Guess there is a shock-glove company out there that just won a NO-BID contract to furnish ICE gang members with torture devices.

I assume Don Jr. is on the board.

This is from Jess Craven's "Chop Wood Carry Water":

Let’s contact Compliant Technologies, the company that makes ICE’s electric shock gloves, and tell them what we think of their arming a bunch of Gestapo thugs. They brag that they are an all-veteran-run company. Yikes!

Their contact form is here: https://www.complianttechnologies.net/contact? (thanks to reader Wendy for finding it!) Here’s what I said, although I’m sure you can do better:

I think it is awful that an all veteran run company is selling electrical shock gloves to ICE agents who will use them to violate the law and the US Constitution on a daily basis. Your products will be used to separate families, terrorize small children, subdue peaceful protestors, devastate communities, and almost certainly kill innocent people. I don’t know how you can live with yourselves. You’ve abandoned whatever oath to the Constitution you may have once taken, as well as the American principles of due process, civil rights, and freedom of speech. Shame on you.

This is inhumane. This goes beyond creating intimidation or fear, this is intentional torture intended by the government; especially since we’ve seen how ICE treats every person who is recording and witnessing the unlawful treatment of the immigrants.

This could be you, me, my neighbor being pulled from our cars, or simply walking about and being pulled aside for no reason at all. This is truly gut wrenching and absolutely horrifying. And still, no accountability for their actions but instead more powerful and deadly weapons at their disposal. All funded by our federal government with our tax dollars.

Fascism at its finest - we will not tolerate such thuggery in supposedly a free nation
