Red States Have a Crime Problem—And Blue States Are Paying Their Bills
While Trump stands on the G7 summit world stage trashing American cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles—cities that drive our economy and innovation, he conveniently forgets to mention that the states he praises most are drowning in crime, poverty, and dependency.
Let’s get something straight.
Normally I wouldn’t even take the time to bring any of this up. But Trump just made it relevant with his lies and misinformation, and he needs to be called out on this.
The fact of the matter is that red states have higher crime and murder rates than blue states. That’s not opinion, it’s data. According to the FBI and CDC, 8 of the 10 states with the highest murder rates are red states run by Republican governors. Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Missouri, and South Carolina consistently top the list. The facts are simple: when it comes to violent crime, red states lead the nation.
And while these so-called "law and order" states fail to keep their citizens safe, they’re also draining America’s wallet.
Red states are “receiver states.” That means they take in more federal money than they contribute. In plain English: they rely on blue states to pay their bills. States like California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, blue states with high productivity and major economic output, send more tax dollars to the federal government than they get back. Meanwhile, red states like Kentucky, Mississippi, West Virginia, and Arkansas get billions more than they contribute.
Let that sink in: California has the fourth-largest economy in the world—not the country, the world—and it’s subsidizing states that vote against science, diversity, education, and progress.
And yet, Donald Trump, the twice-impeached, 34-time felon, had the audacity to mock these cities at the G7 summit. He attacked our blue cities—the very places that fuel America’s economy—while praising Vladimir Putin. On the global stage. Before international leaders.
That’s not strength. That’s sabotage.
It’s not just disrespectful—it’s un-American. You don’t stand in front of the world and insult your own people while cozying up to dictators. You don’t mock Chicago while ignoring gun deaths in rural Alabama. You don’t bash California while taking handouts from their tax revenue. And you sure as hell don’t pretend to be a patriot while attacking the very states keeping this country afloat.
Here’s the truth MAGA won’t admit:
Blue states fund America.
Red states bleed it dry.
Blue cities drive innovation.
Red regions drive up murder rates.
Blue policies build opportunity.
Red policies gut schools, slash healthcare, and let the poor suffer.
So the next time Trump or any MAGA cheerleader opens their mouth to slander Los Angeles, New York, or Chicago—remind them who’s footing the bill.
And if they care so much about crime? Tell them to start by fixing their own backyard.
Because the numbers don’t lie.
But Trump always does.
