A great-great aunt chained herself to the White House fence, went to prison for three months and led the National Women’s Party for women’s suffrage. I’m not giving up my and others right to vote without a fight.

Abby Scott Baker was married to a prominent physician in Washington D.C., Dr. Robert Baker, my great-grandmother’s brother. He was from a prominent family in Winchester Va.

My great-grandmother was married at 20, widowed at 46, and 2 years later was marching for women’s suffrage.
