We are all outraged. It goes without saying that the things this administration is doing is illegal, immoral and wrong on every level. We have to look at it wide eyed. The whole Republican congress is committing treason. The Republican congress has been thinking that if they hang in there, then we will be an authoritarian regime, and they all will have safe seats at the oligarch table. I say every one of them who has gone along with this, not doing anything to stop it, when all it would take in most cases is ONE congressman or two to put an end to this takeover should be prosecuted, imprisoned. We need one or two Republican Senators to come clean about everything. Since they are not doing it, and we are days away from the mid-terms, they are all in and should all be prosecuted for aiding and abetting treason.
ICE agents are recruited from prisons, mental institutions, and a preprogrammed. They say the same things. For any encounter. "You tried to run us over; you are following us. They are not interested in peaceful detainment. We know why they wear masks. They do not want to be personally identified. DHS has a weekly quota, no matter what. Even if the detainee is released, they still get a body count. What puzzles me is how the states cannot get court orders for any changes.
We are living in Hell! I fear this will never end. We are roughly 3 weeks away from Election Day and I greatly fear for citizens in San Diego and LA!I predict DJT and his sidekick S. Substack doesn’t seem to enforce rules for monitoring hate speech and inciting violence against targeted minorities. There are some fantastic independent journalists and writers here, like Mitch Jackson, but I have mixed feelings about subscribing and have any portion of my payment go to Substack.
Mitch, you briefly touch on one of the things I never hear anyone talk about… people arrested going to immigration court hearings. Those and others the administration labels as being here illegally because Trump and Rubio removed their TPS. As you note, these people were going about the process the way we want them to. The administration says they’re here illegally, but that’s not accurate.
Joe Biden did grant an extraordinary number of immigrants TPS status when they applied for asylum. I personally think they did allow too many in, but Joe Biden was the President and he or his staff lawfully accepted their asylum application and issued them TPS pending these hearings. Therefore these folks are here legally. In most cases, Trump/Rubio revoked their TPS solely because Biden’s name is on it.
But the point is they’re not here illegally. Since the prior administration approved it, they all became LEGAL and It becomes a civil administrative action that should require a hearing justifying removal.
It pisses me off every time I hear a Republican spin doctor on TV calling these folks on TPS illegals and no one ever claps back and corrects them.
Sets a bad precedent if you can just undo any legal action by another President by social media posts. On the other hand, it might allow the next President to undo all of Trump’s crap easier.
