Kristi Noem Isn’t Protecting America, She’s Just Selling You More Bullsh*t.
We’ve all seen it. Over and over again.
The grainy black-and-white footage of border crossings. The fear-mongering music. Quick cuts of Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and let’s not forget, self-proclaimed dog killer, standing like some made-for-TV sheriff in designer jackets, expensive boots, and a luxury watch that probably costs more than most people’s rent.
Then come the press conferences. The staged backdrops. The carefully chosen locations. The scripted soundbites. She steps up to the mic, points fingers, stirs fear, and hammers the same talking points: “tough on crime” and “tough on the border.”
But let’s call it what it is: none of this is about solutions. None of this keeps you or your family safer. This is a propaganda machine, funded by your tax dollars, designed to market one thing: Donald Trump and his enablers.
It’s a nonstop PR campaign dressed up as leadership. And we see right through it.
The Real Message Behind the Ads
For those who haven’t caught them on TV or social media, these ads pretend to be official public service announcements about immigration enforcement. In reality, they’re fear-stoking spectacles designed to echo Trump’s favorite talking points and flood the airwaves with images of chaos, crime, and control.
They aren’t about security. They’re about dominance. They’re about sending a political message, not a legal one. And they’re paid for by you and me.
The message? Immigrants are the enemy. The Trump administration is your protector. Kristi Noem is the messenger.
But let’s ask the real question: who asked for this?
Who Greenlit This Nonsense?
Reports show this entire campaign came straight from within the Trump administration’s inner circle, with Noem acting as one of its most eager foot soldiers. This wasn’t some neutral public information effort. This was designed, coordinated, and approved by the very same group trying to reshape the federal government into a loyalty machine. And they’re using your money to do it.
We’re talking millions. Tens of millions, if early budget estimates are to be believed. Each ad isn’t just offensive. It’s expensive. And the price tag lands right in the laps of American taxpayers.
Imagine that. While families are struggling to buy groceries, while veterans sleep on sidewalks, while kids show up to schools without textbooks or working HVAC units, Trump’s political team is buying national airtime to scare people and sell a lie.
What That Money Could Actually Do
Let me be direct. The money spent on these ads could house the homeless. It could feed hungry children. It could support domestic violence shelters. It could expand mental health care access in rural towns and urban neighborhoods. It could protect our environment, clean our water, or fund local clean energy projects. It could do just about anything that actually makes this country better.
Instead, it’s being used to film Kristi Noem standing in front of a barbed-wire fence while reading lines written by Trump’s image consultants.
That’s not leadership. That’s theater.
This Is State-Sponsored Propaganda
In my opinion, we are dangerously close to normalizing state-sponsored political advertising. Not public safety announcements. Not disaster warnings. Political branding. That’s what this is.
I never thought I’d live to see the day where American taxpayer dollars were used to build a cult of personality around a sitting president. That used to be the kind of thing we called out in foreign regimes. Now it’s happening here, and some people are clapping for it.
What happens when we stop funding public education and start funding political loyalty tests? What happens when your tax bill doesn’t go toward a better school lunch program, but toward making sure Donald Trump looks strong in a 30-second video?
We shouldn’t be okay with this. Because once propaganda becomes policy, it doesn’t stop at the border.
This Kind of Messaging Leaves Scars
Let’s be clear about the social cost. These ads tell a very specific story: immigrants are criminals. They’re dangerous. They’re coming for your jobs, your families, your communities.
That’s not just false. It’s violent.
It fuels division. It gives permission to hate. It tears at the fragile threads holding our country together. And if you think this messaging doesn’t land, walk into a schoolyard, a church, or a courtroom and listen to what people are saying. The fear and mistrust are real. And it’s being manufactured, aired, and paid for by our own government.
This is what happens when propaganda becomes the product. You sell fear. You sell outrage. You get applause for cruelty. And then you do it again. Because it works.
The Bigger Problem Isn’t the Ads and Press Conferences. It’s the Direction We’re Heading.
This isn’t about Kristi Noem. Not really. It’s about a government that’s more interested in promoting itself than serving its people. It’s about an administration that uses media not to inform but to intimidate. It’s about a president who sees branding as more important than governing. And it’s about a country that’s starting to believe the lies because they’ve been repeated enough.
I worry about what we’re teaching our kids. That cruelty is strength. That immigrants are enemies. That truth doesn’t matter if the camera angle looks good. That if you repeat a lie loudly enough and long enough, it becomes your campaign slogan.
We can’t let that be the story we pass down.
My Final Word
These ads and press conferences aren’t helping anyone. They’re wasting our money. They’re spreading fear. And they’re turning our government into a billboard for a broken ideology.
It’s not just the price tag that bothers me. It’s the cost to our national soul.
So here’s my message to the people funding this garbage: stop using our tax dollars to produce propaganda. Stop turning public service into a political stunt. Start showing up for the people who need help, not just the ones who worship at the altar of Trumpism.
And to everyone reading this: pay attention. Speak up. Vote. Because the direction we’re heading isn’t just wrong. It’s dangerous.
And we deserve better.

Trump blames this on Biden.
My initial response is: of course he did.
But here are the facts. Mohamed Sabry Soliman legally entered the United States using a tourist visa and was granted a work authorization extension, which expired on March 28, 2025. After that point, he resided in the U.S. without legal status.
Who was president in March of 2025?
Soliman was illegally in the U.S. on Trump’s watch, not Biden’s.
Why wasn’t he picked up in March or April?
This tragic attack should have never happened.
Maybe Kristi Noem was too distracted filming another one of her propaganda commercials?
We need to do all we can to protect everyone, especially victims of hate crimes like this.
What we don’t need to do is point fingers and to try and avoid responsibility.
It’s repetitive and tiring.
In fact, it’s disgusting.
