WE are definitely on the slippery slope. Two strikes against us: 1)too many MAGAs in Congress, and a (severely biased) Supreme Court.

I have little reason to expect much from this administration. They are corrupt to the core and the nepotism is disgusting. The US today is simply not the same country that helped defeat fascism in 1945. The US today has embraced fascism and Christian nationalism. Between the wealthy elite, the political rot and the protection of the financial industries that make all the rot possible, we are on the most slippery of slopes. I am glad I am in my mid 70's. I will do everything I can to stand in the way of this complete hijacking but I fear there are too few of us to reach critical mass to effect the top to bottom change that every person of decency should be clamoring for. I wish I could be more optimistic. I always think back to the old saw of "What one generation tolerates, the next generation embraces." It seems like the GOP long game, knowingly or not, has brought the US to its knees. Can we find our footing against this thoroughly wicked, evil and cruel farce we now have as "government?" That will be the question of the 21st century.
