Now, this crypto scam is connected to our nation's banking and monetary system (due to Trump). This won't go well for any of us.

My husband mentioned that Hunter had also created a meme coin. I didn't believe it (until now). To me, regardless of why Hunter did it, it leaves a bad taste. We know why the trump regime (a lot of untreated addicts did/do it). The crypto craze is a scam and is about dark motivations.

A Last Laugh at the expense of his supporters and anyone dumb enough to buy a celebrity coin is a pretty pathetic and cynical bit of humour

I agree. I was initially impressed by hunter’s willingness to talk real talk about addiction and recovery. Then he put his recovery work behind a paywall. Most addicts don’t enter recovery with millions of dollars, or a family with millions of dollars, or with access to the kind of Recovery programs that Hunter had access to. Most of us who have been through addiction and Recovery are still struggling to put our lives back together. We don’t have an extra $10 a month or eight dollars a month for a Substack, even one on Recovery. So when he did that that put a bad taste in my mouth. And he hasn’t done anything to change it since.

I think Hunter did this to show diaper Trump, he's not the only one to make a buck from a dumb meme coin. If you're Dumb enough to invest in the garbage, then you lose. I think the BS that he was put through as a citizen is discusting. No one bitched when our tax dollars were spent from the a-hole Republicans on attorneys and all that BS against Hunter the citizen and NOTHING was found. But God forbid someone like our AG look into the real criminals kutcher, his friend, and the Trump family theft. And the corruption in the administration and 6 SCOTUS. No one is looking into them. So FDJT

Just goes to show us that no matter what we see and hear desperate men do desperate things.

And thus ends the rehabilitation of Hunter Biden. Which evidently was too good to be true. Reversion to the mean is undefeated.

I disagree. Maybe this was healing for him. Considering if Trump's dumb maga bought coins, maybe they'll buy his. He got the last laugh.

The why is the question. I could see it as a parody of the Trumps, maybe about money, but carefully I want to say this. Hunter has something that he earned and right there that puts him in a class above them and most of the people who you know. That he has fought back from the embarrassment of everything in his past life is the earned, but staying sober, reclaiming his relationship with family and friends is the part that separates him from the people who judge him. Reading your post and knowing how difficult to impossible that journey is for so many, I look at this as maybe a stumble, but I personally see it as nothing more. A meme coin feels like nothing more a corner of his story and a message to anyone who invests in them. Fame is so transitory. Invest in the person who has more than overcome what most couldn’t.

Agreed. Let’s hope he listens to his better angels from now on.

I trusted him and was happy for him.

Then the grift started.

The sensationalist interviews and appearances turned me.

The meme coin sealed the deal.

I feel the same way you do, Mitch. It's heartbreaking. I'm no expert on crypto - and personally I'm fine with that - but couldn't he have turned the campaign into a democratic fundraiser?

I still don't understand why he had to go there, and literally put himself in the same crypto boat with the Circus Clown Junior and his brother.

I so agree! I’ve been watching and listening to Hunter Biden and thought he was turning the Biden legacy up a notch. I am so disappointed that he has decided to fall into the Trump mud. He most certainly had to be called out!

Just another in a series of dumb (with a “b”) moves by Hunter. I’d wager he was getting bad advice; probably from the master strategists at the DNC.

I only ignore Hunter Biden. Mehdi Hassan rightfully called him out. Wish he would stay in his garage and make art and just go away.
