He Lies Every Single Day
He posted this on Saturday.
It’s not true.
Most Americans get it. Too many still don’t.
Trump was the President of the United States on January 6th.
He was in charge of the FBI, not Biden.
The truth is that after Trump told his followers this:
They rioted and attacked the Capital.
He did nothing but watch for hours.
Then, he posted a video telling the rioters to go home and that he loved them.
That night, and over the next few days, key leaders voiced their concerns. For example, Mitch McConnell, who was the Senate Majority Leader, didn’t pull any punches:
But as time went on and memories faded, most of his supporters fell back in line, echoing the party script, bowing down, and kissing Trump’s ring in exchange for the illusion of money and power.
Years later, as you know, Trump pardoned the rioters and called them patriots.
What we do know about the FBI’s activity on January 6 is that it played in important supportive security role.
It assisted the U.S. Capitol Police and other agencies by providing tactical teams, bomb technicians, perimeter security, and evidence collection. Once the Capitol was breached, FBI tactical units moved quickly to help secure nearby congressional offices, to protect and to stabilize the situation.
Multiple reviews, including one from the Department of Justice Inspector General, found no credible evidence that undercover FBI agents infiltrated, provoked, or directed the riot.
The likely source of this false and misleading claim Trump just shared around the world appears to be another misinterpreted and out-of-context “leak” leading to this new conspiracy theory. Of course, Trump jumped all over it and shared it with his uninformed followers.
They ate it up hook, line and sinker.
As I’ve been writing for years, we deserve better.
He, his administration and his enablers (media and influencers) are gaslighting Americans every single day by sharing propaganda instead of facts.
And when it comes to January 6, they are working around the clock to rewrite history.
Don’t let them convince you that the attack on the Capitol was anything other than a MAGA-fueled attempt to overturn a fair election.
I know it’s exhausting, but this is where we have to stay strong, keep the facts front and center and call out every conspiracy they try to ignite.

P.S. I’ll see you out on the streets for No Kings Day on October 18th, and at the ballot box in 2026 when we take back the majority in Congress.

We have a couple problems running on parallel rails. Trump can't remember when he was president and regularly faults Biden for his own shortcomings. Pelosi and Schumer were not in charge of the National Guard for DC in 2020. Trump was. He failed to support the capital police and the capital when they/it were under siege by traitorous rioters. We had multiple fail points in the House (they know who they are and the most indignant today are the most guilty) and the Senate (McConnell, Cruz, Hawley & Graham come to mind first though they had plenty of company like Johnson, Lee, Lummis & Tuberville). They let every one of us down and those that did, failed their oath of office. There is no excuse for such dereliction of duty. Jan 6 was an attempted coup. Trump tried to engineer an insurrection. That is his legacy and the legacy of the GOP along with all the lies that continue to this day. That is their legacy forever and the stains they have left can never be erased, nor should they. The pardons that continue to this day are shameful acts of cowardice. It won't happen with this Congress but the whole process of presidential pardons needs to be revisited because both parties have abused it. This further illustrates how far we have fallen and how much requires course correction if we are to survive as a constitutional federal republic with power divided among three branches.
Keep pressing!
