There are consequences, but nothing will happen unless a new majority in Congress is established this year in the midterm elections. With the power of oversight, the power of the purse, and separation of powers, a great deal can be done not only to hold Trump and his enablers accountable but also to enact policies that benefit all Americans and not just people that live in red states.
All of these facts are disturbing and I think what bothers me most is that no one does anything about it. Who can? The DOJ won’t.
Certainly no Republican elected official will. I can’t just go down to the local police friend say “I’d like to report a crime “. So who will do something? When? How?

It bothers me too that the Republican majority is spending more time bending a knee and kissing a ring than doing their job. Things will start to happen once a new majority is elected to Congress and when that new majority doubles down on the power of oversight, power of the purse, and separation of powers. It will be the beginning of the end for MAGA Republicans.

So this President is an incessantly egregious unethical actor. We have known that for 10 years.
But are there any laws that can be used to prosecute him when a competent & legitimate DOJ is in place?
