Epstein Survivors Demand Truth at the Capitol
The steps of the Capitol turned into a place of reckoning today. More than a dozen Jeffrey Epstein survivors stood shoulder to shoulder with attorneys and lawmakers from both parties. Their demand was simple and fierce. Release the files. Stop the delays. Let the American people see the truth.
For months the House Oversight Committee has stalled behind symbolic resolutions. Earlier this week they dropped more than thirty thousand pages, most of which were already public. What survivors want is transparency. They want the sealed names. They want the documents the Department of Justice still holds. And they are no longer asking quietly.
The Discharge Petition
Representative Ro Khanna and Republican Congressman Thomas Massie filed a discharge petition that would force a vote to release the Epstein files. This is a rare procedural tool that allows rank-and-file members to bring a bill directly to the floor if it gathers 218 signatures. As of today the petition is only two Republican names short. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Mace, and Lauren Boebert have already broken with House leadership to sign. Survivors are pleading for two more to step up.
Survivors Take Back Their Power
Lisa Phillips, an Epstein survivor, announced that since the Administration refuses to release the names, the survivors themselves will create their own list. “It will be by survivors, for survivors,” she declared, igniting the loudest applause of the day.
Haley Robson, who was recruited as a teenager, spoke of the trauma of watching the government guard documents that contain her own name. “They have papers with my name that were taken from Epstein’s house. Those papers could help me heal,” she said, her voice shaking but firm.
Anouska de Georgiou, another survivor, stood tall before the cameras. “I am no longer weak. I am no longer powerless. And I am no longer alone. With your vote, neither will the next generation be. President Trump, you have so much influence and power in this situation. Please use that influence and power to help us.”
Jena-Lisa Jones turned her plea into a direct call. “We are the Americans that you promised to protect, and we need your help. Please, President Trump, pass this bill and help us.”
One survivor, a lifelong Republican, looked directly into the cameras. “Mr. President Donald J. Trump, I am a registered Republican. This is not political. I invite you to the Capitol to meet me face to face so you can see this is not a hoax.”

The President Responds
Shortly after, President Trump dismissed the event as “a Democrat hoax that never ends.” His words sent a chill through the crowd that had gathered, many of whom had hoped for acknowledgment, if not support. Survivors and lawmakers immediately pointed to his dismissal as the clearest proof of why public pressure is needed.
A Reckoning That Cannot Be Ignored
Congressman Massie blasted House leadership for offering what he called a “fig leaf” resolution that would keep control in the hands of the Department of Justice. “The perpetrators are being protected,” he said, reinforcing the urgency of the discharge petition.
This press conference was a public confrontation with silence and power. These survivors are no longer isolated voices. They are a movement, organized and determined to push through the political machinery that has failed them for decades. Their courage strips away excuses and lays bare the question that hangs over Washington. Who benefits from secrecy, and at what cost to the rest of us?
