Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron Hit Candace Owens with 219-Page Defamation Lawsuit: Why This Case Will Bankrupt Her
Candace Owens may have finally crossed a line that leads directly to accountability, and possibly bankruptcy. And frankly, it’s been a long time coming.
French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron just filed one of the most detailed defamation lawsuits I’ve seen in over three decades of practicing law. It’s 219 pages long, packed with 22 counts, and it lays out a relentless, lie-filled campaign that Owens allegedly launched to humiliate Brigitte Macron and grow her podcast audience through outrage and cruelty.
The complaint doesn’t just check boxes, it builds a devastating case for actual malice. That’s the legal standard Owens has to overcome. And based on what I’ve read, she’s not going to. The lawsuit shows a calculated effort to spread a false and deeply personal claim, not once, not twice, but repeatedly, to inflame her base and promote her brand. You can read it here.
This isn’t free speech. It’s reputational warfare. And when someone monetizes bullying at a global scale, they don’t get a pass, they get served.
If this case proceeds the way it should, it won’t just cost Owens her credibility. It could cost her everything. And that, my friends, is what accountability looks like.
