Yes, Elon Musk—the person Trump appointed to oversee Doge, granting him unprecedented access to data from our biggest agencies and your most sensitive personal information.

Watching what’s been going on isn't just unsettling—it's outright dangerous.

This past week, appearing on "The Joe Rogan Experience," Musk called Social Security "the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time."

In an earlier interview, his brother, Kimbal, shared candidly with Graham Bensinger that Elon lacks social awareness and struggles with empathy.

In March 2024, during an interview with Don Lemon, Musk revealed he occasionally uses ketamine, prescribed to manage depressive episodes. Of course, that’s fine and I want everyone to have access to good healthcare but, do you know ketamine’s potential psychiatric side effects? Dysphoria, hallucinations, and delirium.

And just so we’re clear, Dysphoria refers to someone experiencing a state of profound unease, dissatisfaction, or emotional discomfort. People experiencing dysphoria often feel anxious, restless, unhappy, or disconnected from reality or their own identity.

Hallucinations are sensory experiences that seem real but are not. And Delirium is an acute state of confusion marked by reduced awareness of surroundings, impaired thinking, memory problems, and disorientation.

I don’t know about you but for me, it’s not very reassuring to know that the guy heading up Doge and calling the shots with your life and this country is using prescribed medication that can cause these psychiatric issues.

And one more thing.

On Saturday Night Live in 2021, Musk shared with the world that he has Asperger's Syndrome, an autism spectrum disorder. Autism can affect empathy, emotional expression, social interactions, and interpreting social cues—key qualities for any leader.

Over the years I’ve represented a few clients with autism. I supported these amazing human beings and will continue to do so in all ways.

But context is everything and so I want to take a step back for a moment and add a bit of context to Elon’s situation—and by that I mean America’s situation.

It’s hard to deny that any one of these conditions and medications can affect good decision making and leadership. Add two or more together, which is apparently the case for Musk (his own words), and I believe you are unnecessarily exposing the nation to unnecessary detrimental financial issues security risks.

But there's more going on here—and it's troubling.

Many of you may remember some of the things Musk has posted or shared on social media. It’s important because these post reflect how he feels and thinks. The guy has over 219 million followers on his conspiracy fueled right-wing platform. His public postings tell us a lot about him and they matter immensely.

In his written posts he openly supported the antisemitic "Great Replacement" conspiracy, responding affirmatively to hateful rhetoric with, "You have said the actual truth."

He shared a meme referencing "Pizzagate"—the debunked conspiracy theory that absurdly accused prominent Democratic figures of child trafficking and satanic rituals.

Who in the hell posts content like this?

There's more.

Musk publicly questioned in a post to hundreds of millions why President Biden and Vice President Harris hadn't faced assassination attempts.

During the Israel-Hamas conflict, he recommended misinformation sources, exacerbating confusion during a critical global moment.

He supported the release of Derek Chauvin, convicted of murdering George Floyd.

Expressed sympathy for white nationalism, lamenting publicly that it's "super messed-up" white people aren’t "allowed to be proud of their race."

He perpetuated fear-based conspiracies about detention camps in the UK, ominously warning that "civil war is inevitable."

Do you think this is normal?

I don’t.

But there’s more…

His personal decisions are troubling, too. He's fathered 14 children with four women, married three times, and engages in unpredictable behavior. Three of his children who he’s publicly shared the names of are: X Æ A-12 ("X"), Exa Dark Sideræl ("Y"), and Techno Mechanicus ("Tau").

Um, OK.

And while under normal circumstances, personal health, medications, and relationships deserve privacy, that right to privacy diminishes significantly when someone chooses to accept a prominent public role funded by American taxpayers. When this happens, no less than 100% transparency is required.

That’s why I’m brining all of this up. This isn’t a private matter involving a private person or company. This post is about a person who Trump has appointed to do a public job financed by your tax payer dollars. They each work for you, not the other way around. You have a right to know what kind of people are calling the shots.

Today, Musk and his youthful team of twenty-something-year-olds have access to your tax records, Social Security information, sensitive health data and probably everything else you can imagine. So far, Musk and Doge are responsible for firing approximately 200,000 American employees (including many veterans) and dismantling critical government projects. On Thursday he told the world that he’s just getting started.

And the only oversight? Trump casually remarking, "I’m keeping a close eye on Elon."

Really?

We’re going to take the word of a twice impeached 34-time convicted felon?

Beyond domestic concerns, Musk continues to maintain troubling international ties with Russia.

Russian billionaire Suleyman Kerimov has financial interests in Musk's SpaceX through the U.S. based Delaware-based Heritage Trust—even after Kerimov faced U.S. sanctions in 2018.

Why was Kerimov sanctioned? It was due to allegations of money laundering, corruption, and his close ties to the Russian government, particularly Kremlin leadership. The U.S. Treasury Department specifically cited his role in facilitating Russia's malign activities globally.

But why stop with just one Russian billionaire? How about the other billionaire who also happens to be President of Russia. Musk has reportedly communicated frequently with Vladimir Putin, covering personal, business, and geopolitical discussions. Why are they even talking? What are they talking about?

This isn't normal. It isn't acceptable. It’s dangerous.

Congress must urgently launch a formal investigation into why Trump appointed Musk to head up Doge and, Musk's conduct and influence after taking on the role.

And don’t even get me started on Musk’s conflict of business interests. I’ll write about that in another post when time allows.

Look folks, what’s happening here isn't merely problematic—it verges on corruption and malfeasance. Doge and Musk are weakening America’s security and our ability to protect ourselves.

The bottom line is that excuses have run their course. Accountability must begin immediately. Congress, do your fucking job.
