DOGE Has Been Disbanded. 600,000 People Are Dead. 400,000 Are Children.

Six hundred thousand people are dead. Four hundred thousand of them are children. The Trump administration did that. These are not vague estimates or academic projections. These are families that no longer exist. These are parents burying infants who would still be alive if our country had not ripped apart the programs that kept them fed, vaccinated, and treated. Every number carries the face of a child who depended on care that stopped overnight.

When USAID collapsed, the floor dropped out from under communities that relied on vaccines, malaria treatment, HIV medication, prenatal care, nutrition centers, and clean water projects. Clinics emptied. Shelves cleared. Medical teams walked away because their paychecks were gone. Mothers were told the medicine that saved their newborn last year no longer existed. Fathers heard the fever their five year old carried used to be treatable. Now they were told to hope for the best because the supply chain had been cut at the source.

It’s also worth noting that while DOGE claimed savings (without supporting documentation) roughly equal to about just 3% of the federal budget, independent analyses suggest the true net savings were possibly close to zero after costs.
THE COLLAPSE THAT NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED
DOGE arrived with promises of cleaner books and sharper government operations. Ten months later it no longer exists as an agency. It exits the stage leaving wreckage behind. The early claim of two trillion dollars in savings evaporated. Internal estimates landed around two hundred fourteen billion dollars. No amount of financial spin changes the truth spoken by every global health expert. The collapse of USAID erased entire lifelines and sent waves of preventable death across regions that depended on consistent medical support.
Health workers described empty treatment rooms. Lab programs built over decades were shuttered. Children who once received basic nutrition saw their daily meals disappear. These are real consequences. Public health breaks fast when support systems vanish. When vaccines stop, infections rise. When mosquito nets are not distributed, malaria spreads. When food assistance shrinks, kids grow weak. No comparison is needed. A chain snaps and people fall. That is what happened.
THE MASS FIRINGS AT HOME AND THE DAMAGE INSIDE OUR OWN GOVERNMENT
Three hundred thousand federal workers lost their jobs. Agencies that needed trained staff to run research programs, manage global health operations, and keep essential services moving lost people who carried knowledge the country needed. LGBTQ plus workers made up a significant share of the federal workforce. They served in vital offices. Their experience and commitment are gone now.
All of this happened under an administration that keeps telling you this is what efficiency looks like. Look at the result. Research halted. Health systems fractured. Families abroad and at home felt the shock of decisions made from behind podiums that never acknowledged the communities standing on the receiving end.
THE DIRECT HARM TO LGBTQ PLUS COMMUNITIES HERE AND OVERSEAS
The collapse of USAID programs hit LGBTQ plus communities with full force. Two thousand USAID workers were removed. HIV medications disappeared from clinics that served populations targeted by their own governments. Safe shelter networks shut down. Activists who once relied on legal protection fled their countries without support. These were programs designed to keep people alive. Once the funding evaporated, the danger rose fast.
Leaders who used to defend these programs described entire regions losing access to lifesaving resources. They were not speaking in metaphors. When medication is gone, people die. When advocacy networks fold, people are hunted. When legal support ends, families disappear into detention or violence without any protection.
Congress restored a limited amount of funding for one HIV program. The larger system remains fractured. The loss still shapes life for every person who depended on consistent treatment or safe housing.
THE DESTRUCTION OF PUBLIC HEALTH RESEARCH
More than two hundred seventy research grants vanished. Over one hundred twenty million dollars in scientific work went with them. The cuts targeted research involving gender identity and sexual orientation. There were programs tracking HIV trends, labs studying drug resistance, youth health networks, pregnancy prevention programs, and multiple community based studies that helped identify and control public health threats.
These programs kept communities informed. They provided early warnings for disease spikes. They gave families access to treatment paths that saved lives. Now they are gone. A public health association sued to stop the cancellations. The complaint included internal notes connected to DOGE. The chaos around these cuts shows how deep the disruption ran.
WHY THIS SHOULD INFURIATE EVERY PERSON IN THIS COUNTRY

I think Frump, Muskrat, and all of their Billionaire cronies should use their own fucking money to restore these health and food programs, both abroad and at home. They all have more money then they could spend in a thousand lifetimes. Their continued greed and carelessness continues to know no bounds. They should all be ashamed of themselves to even consider that they are human beings. To the contrary.
