This is totally illegal. There was no settlement because there was no lawsuit. Trump dropped the suit BEFORE any settlement was presented to the judge. The judge stated that there was no settlement in the case. This agreement is totally illegal and without merit. And any protections afforded the Trumps are illegal and invalid. But the problem is with Congress and the DOJ in his back pocket, nothing happens. At least not until after the midterms.
